This one-day Proof of Technology (PoT) provides a hands-on experience on the WebSphere® Application Server v8, which is standards-based application foundation offering accelerated delivery of innovative applications and unmatched operational efficiency, reliability, administration, security, and control. The session covers:
•Java™ Enterprise Edition (Java EE) 6, including Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB) 3.1, Java Persistence API (JPA) 2.0 , Servlet 3.0, and other updates
•Broad programming model including Java EE 6, OSGi Applications, Web 2.0 and Mobile, Java Batch, XML, Dynamic Scripting, Service Component Architecture (SCA), Communications Enabled Applications (CEA), and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
•Develop, manage, and maintain modular, versioned, and isolated OSGi Applications to improve developer productivity, business agility, and total cost of ownership
Objective
This session is designed for customers who are interested in implementing the latest enterprise java technologies – OSGi, JAX-RS, Web2.0&Mobile, etc –on a highly reliable business infrastructure using the IBM WebSphere Application Server software. Participation in the hands-on exercises will enable customers to understand how to accelerate the development of enterprise applications using the latest version of WebSphere Application Server v 8.
