Walked into work this morning and heard my designers complaining about how they had a rush job to get out the door and how they each would take part of the list of a couple hundred name badges to layout.
Of course, thanks to your group and Jims meeting we had a PERFECT example for using XML with InDesign. Just took us about an hour to get the Excel list into a usable format and me to fumble through teaching the designer what I knew of InDesign, for just one designer to complete the job that several were going to do in several hours.
Pass my thanks onto Jim!
Also, is he doing a camp this weekend in Atlanta? I mentioned it to my designers and after seeing how the XML helped so much they would be interested in something like that. If nothing else I think they'll be looking forward to the next meeting you put on.
Our meetings are normally the first Tuesday of every month at Matrix Resources in the perimeter area:The IBM/ISS Training Center6303 Barfield Rd NE - Atlanta, Georgia 30328See More

Last nights meeting has put some ideas into my head how even a non-designer may make use of InDesign.
