Its collections, public learning programs and community outreach are inseparably linked to serve a diverse public of varied ages background and knowledge. Dedicated to the primacy of the visitor experience and committed to excellence in every aspect, its aim is to serve as a dynamic, innovative welcoming center.
We offer meeting space for small groups, meetings and events in an original Madame CJ Walker Beauty Shoppe dating back to 1950. We also feature a cafe and a vinyl record collection of vintage 1920's-1960's jazz. Tours of the Museum are available.
