Linux System Administrator Position

We have a priority opening for a System Administrator support for Scientific Systems and Applications in downtown Atlanta.  Successful applicants will maintain and tune LINUX High Performance Computing Cluster and NVIDIA GPU computer cluster and individual LINUX servers, maintain operating systems, install scientific software, keep security systems up to date, work with CDC network team to trouble-shoot network issues, ensure data integrity and safety of systems, manage users, keep hardware and software up to date and ensure transfer of large data files between machines.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors in IT or related degree. 
• Linux High Performance Cluster management
• Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and updates. 
• Experience in working in scientific computing environment (medical/university/pharma/biotech)
• Experience installing scientific software.
• Experience with Software patches, job scheduling, system backups. 
• Strong communication skills.
