Actually, you would post your comment on my profile page. The easiest way to do this is to hit the "comment back" button on your profile. Then for reference you can also utilize the "view thread" button, to capture our conversations.

Talking on profiles/walls is kind of like email, but also leaving it out there open for other casual users to take a glance. Now you may wonder why anyone would care, but people do. It kind of gives them a glimpse of the type of person that you are in your writing and interactive style.

They also may find that we are socializing about Twitter or something and I may leave you a link to a great 3 minute Common Craft video that gets to the guts of Twitter quickly.

Thanks, man. Sorry for not responding sooner. I somehow missed the email notice until today. Wow, cool to hear about your dad. :-)

As for the "things I can speak on", well, I just missed that, too. But then it's pretty much just CF, though many things about it. Anyway, I just don't think the other groups would be motivated--and while I can speak on topics not related to CF (and have, at other area UGs), I should be careful about that, since my consulting is focused on CF shops. :-)

Thanks for the kind regards about my past presentations, though. I don't know that marking them specifically is really warranted. It seems personal opinion, really. Maybe instead it could be done based on a ratings thing, and/or community recommendations. That way as more show appreciation, then such presos are more highlighted, rather than being based on any one person's assessment (even yours). Whaddya think? And is the wall the right place for this discussion? Or maybe email? :-)

Mountain, ha ha. Nice. Oddly enough my father is pretty much a real-life mountain man complete with buckskin clothes and giant beard.

I can't believe you didn't fill out the section on "things I can speak on".

I was writing down notes last night and was thinking about how there are some speakers people just don't want to miss no matter the topic or the group, and how to set up an alert system based upon speaker.

Obviously, I was using you as an example in my head, because I know I've missed some of your talks at other groups in the past, that had I known I would not have bypassed.

I'm thinking maybe events on here can have a tagging system, similar to twitter, where an event might get tagged #carehart or something, then a calendar can be subscribed to via RSS.

I don't know yet, but am definitely glad you have joined as one of the top Atlanta speakers in my book.
