Hey y'all - any way we can get together for a monthly brainstorm/get-together?

I'm developing a few really good ideas and have already built a few software packages...

I've just stumbled upon this group and I sure wish that there is an actual company that I could join - I've been using RB for many years now.  I'm developing an accounting package and a website manager.

I am also currently looking into the 3D capabilities.

My name is Amy BTW - if any of you are willing to meet somewhere in the mornings maybe (I work the late-day to night shift.).

Thanks.

Amy,

Females program?! Sorry, just joking. It is not so common, however. In fact, I had to check out your name in this reply by cutting and pasting it to ensure it wasn't Arny. You know, some fonts put r and n so close together it looks like an m. Irritating.

We do meet once a month at Ippolito's Italian Restaurant in Sandy Springs. Kevin Cully is organizing this. Been doing it for 3 months or so. If you join the group here, you should get meeting notifications.

I actually laughed! Yeah-it's sad, but you're right - I am hard-pressed to name any female students in programming, much less good at it. I made history at college because I am the ONLY student *ever* to complete a whole semester's worth of work due on the dead last day for one of my professors. I've got the RAD process down to a science, mostly because I just don't want to be bickering over it for months at a time - I just want to get it DONE and run with the money. I specialize in very fast solutions - I've come up with complete apps in mere minutes, and the consulting and Q&A sessions took five times the time.

Well, now that you're a member of the group you can count on an update on the meeting date, which might be the third Tuesday of next month, but don't quote me on it. I was at the first meeting, but missed the last two. I hope to be able to make the April meeting.

Welcome Amy. I think this next meeting will be on the Tuesday, the 13th of April. We would love to have you join our group.
What time and place are the meets?? I have a retail schedule, and a full-time work-week too - SO - I will need to "book" this meeting with management :)

Thanks, and Best Regards,
Amy

Hey y'all - I just got detained and interrogated by a Cobb County Police Dep't VIPER Special Tactics officer for -- get this -- driving too slowly through the pitch-black, pot-hole filled parking lot of my local Publix at a half-hour before closing time. The hubby and babies were in the car - it was SO not fun listening to the babies cry - the officer LIED his buns off the whole time saying we're not detained and then he yells at me not to leave the car and to stay seated, pretty much all in the same minute. And we had been parked for all of 30 seconds to a minute when they descended upon the car, rapping the windows with their flashlights and yelling questions. They ruined our night and this was done in front of MANY witnesses.

I wish that this was just a joke (happy April Fool's Day!) but sadly it's reality. And we were just there to get groceries - my two year old daughter probably looked suspicious :P It's those dirty little hands that raided the cookie jar last night (wink-wink).

Anyway - be careful out there - Cobb P.D. is apparently trolling around wasting more of our taxpayer dollars, and who knows who, or what, is next?
