I wanted to go ahead and start a discussion about venues that are friendly to having user groups utilize their meeting spaces.

General spots
- Technology Companies
- Training Companies
- Design Houses
- Recruitment Firms
- Co-working Environments
- Universities
- Hotels

Are there any specific companies out there that help in hosting meeting spaces?

I have been to meetings at

The Microsoft Offices in Alpharetta
Macquarium
Creative Circus
Echo Eleven Training Centers
Georgia Tech
Emory
Matrix Resources

Maybe there could be a way on Atlanta User Groups to set up a resource list of locations, but also an area to thank these organizations that provide such a valuable resource to our cities user groups.

Ideas?

I have a facility at The Concourse at Perimeter which can be used as a venue, depending on the size of the group and general topic.- can discuss further.

Atlanta Macintosh Users Group has started having this monthly meetings at the North Fulton County Annex.  It is a large room with lots of space for a decently sized meeting and has projection and wifi for presentations and internet use.
The Atlanta FoxPro Users Group meets at Aldo's of Italy in Sandy Springs.  They have two rooms, one small and one large.  They just require everyone to order an entree.  We used to pay them for the one or two people that didn't eat.  We've been meeting there quite awhile and usually everyone eats, so they don't charge us for the people that sometimes don't eat (we do have one guy who keeps Kosher, so he never eats, but he doesn't always attend, either).
Is there are charge at that North Fulton complex?
