Event Description

Understanding Your FAST Search 2010 for SharePoint Application Topology

If you thought the topology of the SharePoint Search Application was complicated, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Building a FS4SP implementation is not nearly as difficult as designing it correctly. The first basic building blocks of that design are:

* How many components are there?
* How many of each do you need?
* Where do you place them?
* How many on the SharePoint side?
* How many FS4SP servers do I need and what types?

In this session, we will examine the various components and topology options. Since this discussion of this topic could take days, if not weeks, we will be moving quickly. Bring your questions.

"I so hear ya', Cheyenne... LOUD AND CLEAR.  I'm in the absolutely same mindset as you are.  That said, I'm very much about truly satisfying my clients.  I'm just not sure I can make the grade this time with that…"

"AOL!  I think you really need to advise your client against this.  I can't think of any reason, even living in the congo, to support AOL these days.  Just download Chrome or anything else for free."
