For our April meeting, James Sansbury of Sprocket will talk about creating, building and extending Drupal "Features". A Feature is a sort of wrapper module around Drupal functionality. For instance, a Blog feature might contain a blog node type, a view of blog entries, an image cache preset for an entry image, and all associated permissions. The Features module then exports all that functionality into a module that you can then use on any Drupal site.
James will walk us through creating a basic feature, and then show how to provision that feature to a live site. To get the most out of this session, it is recommended to come with a local Drupal 6 site running on your laptop, and for extra credit, have Drush installed.

We encourage everyone -- from beginners to advanced users -- to attend. ADUG meetups are a great chance to network with like-minded peers and learn more about Drupal.
